Product Description

The protocol of the CAN-BUS data transmission is known for the possibility of long-distance data transmission at very high reliability. It is widely used in modern machine tools and the diagnostic tools in the automotive field. With this interface you can now operate the transmission protocol with Arduino; uses very few connections Arduino leaving you free to handle the remaining I/O ports for other expansions. The TJA1050 is the third generation Philips high-speed CAN transceiver after the PCA82C250 and the PCA82C251.

The most important differences are:
• Much lower electromagnetic emission due to optimal
matching of the output signals CANH and CANL
• Improved behaviour in case of an unpowered node
• No standby mode.
