Product Description


Based on the chip Melexis MLX90614SF, the GY-906-BCC sensor allows to detect the surface temperature of an object without physical contact, such as in the case of a thermocouple or an NTC or PTC. The thermal energy radiated from the object on which it intends to make the measurement is converted to electrical potential and suitably treated and digitized, thanks to the ADC and the DSP 17bit present in its interior, making it possible as well to the interpretation of digital data processors, MCUs and development kits as Arduino, through the two-wire I2C serial communication. Therefore, the connection is reduced to only 4 wires typical of I2C serial protocol.
