Product Description

Based on the ATmega 328 chip, the Freaduino UNO R3 uses an ATmega16U2 instead dell'ATmega 8U2 present on the previous version. This chip acts as a USB/serial converter. The new chip on the R3 allows a higher transfer rate and a greater amount of available memory on the USB/serial converter chip. No drivers are needed for Linux or MAC. For Windows is instead including an .INF file that allows installation. Now by using this chip Freaduino UNO can also be detected by a PC as a mouse, keyboard or joystick. The R3 also adds two pins (SDA and SCL) near AREF. In addition there are 2 new pin near the reset pin: one is IOREF, allowing shield to adjust the voltage supplied from the card. The other is online and reserved for future use. The R3 works with all shield made for previous versions.
