Encoder for signal conversion from PWM to PPM for the latest piloting technologies.
This encoder is employed to turn PWM signals into PPM without the necessity of modify the Host hardware.
Usually it’s used as support to automatic piloting systems (autopilot) like APM2.5 / APM2.5 PIXHAWK etc…
The entire project is based on the ATMEL ATMEGA328p AVR processor, all the timings are processed inside the interrupts, optimizing accuracy and stability.
The freeware firmware has been created by John Arne and Oliver Adler.
Important note: the firmware is pre-configured for the reading of 8 channels. To change the parameters of the PPM encoder, or variate the default values is needed a reprogramming through AVR ISP.
